Kathy Kuck, President & Chief Executive Officer of Pocono Health System/Pocono Medical Center recently announced the appointment of Susan B. Labus as Chief Operating Officer. Labus comes to Pocono Medical Center with significant experience having recently served as a Chief Operating Officer with the Caritas Health Care System in Boston, Massachusetts.
Kathy Kuck is pleased to have her join the Executive Management Team. “I am excited to work with Susan and know that her passion for hospital operations will be a great asset to our dedicated team of healthcare professionals.” Kuck said. In Susan’s most recent role, she was responsible for hospital operations at Saint Anne’s Hospital and Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. During her tenure, she implemented new programs, expanded services, grew the market share, and led strategic planning initiatives to ensure the fiscal health of the facilities she managed.
Labus also has served as Chief Operating Officer for Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island and served as Corporate Vice President of Business Development and Cardiac Services for Catholic Health Systems in Buffalo, New York. She holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
